Education Forum

Rep. Jay Reedy & Republican School Board Candidates John Crespo, Aaron Maberry and Brad Morrow

This month we will be focusing on education, which is especially timely as so many of our members are educators and parents. The Left may not realize it, but they have started a counter movement as conservatives are attending school board meetings, running for school board, and taking education back from the hands of the Leftists!

Jay Reedy, Associate member of RRRW, has long been a champion of teachers, children and families during his years representing the 74th District in the General Assembly.  When the Professional Educators of Tennessee needs someone to sponsor education bills favorable to our views, Jay is often one of the first legislators we meet with.  His knowledge of education in Tennessee is unparalleled.

John Crespo is a local business owner and father of five.  As a business owner with children in the local school system, he knows the importance of creating the next generation of leaders and citizens in our community.  He is on the board of two non-profit organizations, Recover Our Sons (mentorship and training) and the Clarksville Hispanic American Family Foundation.  As a Christian he is concerned for his children and believes we need to make sure that parents’ concerns are head and addressed.

Aaron Maberry is the Next-Gen Pastor at Mosaic Church and attended East Montgomery Elementary, Richview Middle, Clarksville High, and after redistricting graduated from Rossview High in 2003 – all of which are in District 7. Aron has been the main representative as a Partner of Education for Mosaic Church with CMCSS. In 2021 in his position at Mosaic, Aron oversaw over 2,000 individual children – many who attend CMCSS schools. In addition to his service with students, Aron is currently in Leadership CMCSS class of 2022, and has served his local community for four years as the HOA Board President of the Poplar Hill Subdivision in Sango where he lives with his wife and two daughters.  Aaron would like to be a voice for parents in our community, to help bring greater accountability and transparency to our school system and board, to make sure they are represented well in District 7.

Brad Morrow, the son of a teacher and social worker, retired from the US Army in 2017, and recently graduated from APSU with a Masters in Teaching to complement his degree in public administration.  He has been a member of the CMCSS Parent Advisory Council for six years and is on the board of advisors to the Academy for Academic Excellence (a small local school that provides educational opportunities for children with learning challenges).  He and his wife Anna have four children in three different CMCSS schools.  Morrow feels that he can be a voice for parents and can bridge the gap between stakeholder perspectives and develop the kind of cooperation we need that provides the best outcomes for Montgomery County students.
