Our speaker this month is Maya L. Sethi.  Maya L. Sethi is an attorney with 15 years of experience. She currently serves as General Counsel for Rocketship Education, a national non- profit charter school organization dedicated to eliminating the achievement gap for low-income children. Before serving in this role, she was a litigator and practiced white collar defense and commercial litigation in two different law firms and was in the healthcare litigation department at HCA.

Maya is a graduate of Boston University Law School and Wellesley College. Maya is the President and co-founder of Healthy Tennessee, a non-profit organization designed to promote preventative healthcare across the state. She is also a member of the  board of Tennessee Voices for Victims, a non- profit organization focused on victim advocacy, and a member of the board of Children’s House Montessori, a preschool which is beloved by her two children.

She is married to Dr. Manny Sethi, and together they have a four year old and a six year old, two guinea pigs, and a rescue dog.   Maya and Manny are members of McKendree United Methodist Church in Nashville.

We are pleased to have Maya Sethi as our speaker for May, not only because she happens to be married to U.S. Senate Candidate Dr. Manny Sethi, but because she’s a Mom (and it’s Mother’s Day this month) and a successful attorney in her own right.
