This Month’s Speaker

Greg Seneff, Sr. “Bluegrass Colonel” with Project Appleseed.

Project Appleseed™ isn’t a gun club or a militia, nor is it a historical society. Instead, we are a non-partisan group of men and women (known as the Revolutionary War Veterans Association) who are committed to upholding the values and principles of America’s founding fathers. We use rifle marksmanship instruction as a gateway to help bring our nation’s history to life and to show that many of the values that our forefathers relied on to win our independence are still very much in demand today.

Through clinics and events, we teach rifle marksmanship and early American heritage to introduce individuals of all skill levels to the knowledge that was so crucial to the success of our nation’s founders. Aside from the fun and camaraderie of these events, the designed takeaway is a renewed sense of civic responsibility that each attendee can then implement in his or her own community. If we can reconnect enough people with the selfless civic virtue of our forefathers, we as a nation will all be better off.

This Month’s SpeakerSarah McAbee – Advocate & Podcaster

Stand in the Gap & The Real J6

We are fortunate to have Sarah McAbee, a luminary in advocacy and resilience, whose life took an unexpected turn that fueled her journey to becoming a beacon of hope and justice as our speaker this month.

Her story begins with a personal crisis that evolved into a national dialogue when her husband was apprehended following the events of January 6, 2021. Amidst this turmoil, Sarah found her calling: to be a voice for the voiceless and to stand firm for those who could not. Co-founding Stand in the Gap, Sarah dedicated herself to supporting January 6 defendants and their families, ensuring they never felt isolated in their struggles. Her leadership in this organization underscores her belief in compassion, advocacy, and community support as pillars for overcoming adversity.

Furthermore, as the Chief Operating Officer of The Real J6, Sarah tirelessly works to highlight the plight of these individuals, advocating for fair treatment, due process, and the protection of civil liberties. Through her efforts, she challenges stereotypes, promotes critical thinking, and inspires a broader conversation on justice and reform. Yet, beyond the activism, Sarah embodies a spirit of joy and determination, never losing sight of the importance of spreading happiness while fighting for what’s right. Her journey is not just about addressing the immediate needs of the January 6 defendants and their families but also about fostering a society that values justice, empathy, and the freedom to stand up for one’s beliefs. Sarah McAbee’s story is a testament to the power of resilience, the importance of community, and the unyielding belief in fighting for a cause greater than oneself.

Our Speaker will be Rep. Dr. Mark Green

Congressman Mark Green first took the oath of office to represent the 7th District of Tennessee in Congress on January 3, 2019. As a successful business leader, decorated combat veteran, ER physician, and former Tennessee State Senator, Green is uniquely equipped to represent the people of his district.

As a member of the Tennessee State Senate he distinguished himself as a conservative leader that fought for freedom and smaller government for all Tennesseans. His many legislative accomplishments include the repeal of the Hall Income Tax and the passage of the Tennessee Teacher Bill of Rights.

In Congress, Rep. Green has sponsored and cosponsored legislation over issues facing the people of Tennessee. From fighting for soldiers at Fort Campbell to combatting China’s malign influence and illegal immigration, keeping harmful Critical Race Theory out of schools, and slashing red tape to feed infants in the wake of a baby formula shortage, Congressman Green’s well-rounded background in business, healthcare, and the military has made him distinctly qualified to address such issues. Veteran families are a priority for Green and he continues to push legislation that benefits these vital members of our community. Green has also worked to improve resources for the mental and physical health of veterans. Rep. Green serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security and is a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Congressman Green has won multiple awards for his work in Congress, including the American Freedom Fund’s Legislator of the Year Award for his work to empower veterans, and the Guardian of Small Business award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Green received a perfect A+ rating from the Susan B. Anthony List for his pro-life voting record. He also received the impressive distinction of being unanimously voted President of the Republican freshman class in the House of Representatives. He currently serves as President of the Republican junior class.

Green resides in Clarksville with his wife, Camilla. They are the proud parents of two grown children.

Our Speakers This Month!

It’s Candidate Speed Dating!

It’s February, the month of love and St. Valentine’s Day, so what a great time to do some political speed dating!  We’ll be hosting various candidates running in the Republican primary so it’s our hope you’ll find one to fall in love with and share your precious vote at election time. It won’t involve chocolates and champagne but it should involve some Q & A and you can find yourself a chocolate donut if the craving hits!  At press time we don’t have a full list of confirmed speakers so you’ll just have to think of it as a blind date and you just might find The One. (Just a reminder, The Red River Republican Women Club does not endorse candidates for any contested races in a GOP Primary.  If someone is speaking at our club running in a contested primary, rest assured that his/her opponent was given the option to speak as well.)
